How often do you do a battery pull? Just installed Quick pull.

That shouldn't be a problem doing it everyday. Personally I do a battery pull when its nessesary. I look at how much file space I got free and if its under 12000000 bytes I do a pull. Usually its 2-3 weeks I do this

I usually do a battery pull if I want to regain lost memory, or if my BlackBerry happens to freeze.
Out of habit I reset my phone daily using the SoftReset application.

Soft reset is holding the alt + rt shft + del keys. What is describe as a hard reset is doing this a second time when the white screen appears. QuickPull simulates a battery pull, so it is at least a hard reset if not more (if there is more), and of course a battery pull removes all power to your BB.

And I restart using QP every d@mn day.

Not sure either and wanted to know....is this when you turn the phone off and then back on?

Turning the phone off does just that, turns the phone off. Everything else on your BB continues to function. There is no master on/off switch. The only way to complete shut off a BB is to remove the battery.

Here is RIM's official word on resets:

Ever since I installed quick pull (which is set for 3 am), I have not had to do a battery pull at all (over 6 months now). I do a Alt - lglg to clear history daily. I have had zero memory issues, nor has my BB been slow.

I have to pull my battery every 2 days due to slowness or freezing - but it takes at least 3-5 minutes to restart back up. Anyone else take this long?

It takes a few minutes for your phone to come back up after a battery pull, hard reboot, or QuickPull. Your BB is rebooting...just like your PC or Mac.

You might have some other issues going on based on your post. Are you closing apps when you are not using them? Have you checked your file free? Are you deleting emails and texts?

I bought the Wife a charging dock that has a spare charger on the back. Picked up a spare battery online for just a few dollars. End result she does a battery pull everytime her battery gets in the red.
