My friend just got a new curve and as I was helping him set it up I noticed the battery being different. It is smooth and more of a square shape. This made me look at it a little closer and I noticed his was made in China and mine was made in Japan. I always thought items made in Japan were better than China. I am sure it is not relevant to battery life or so, but wanted to get other peoples opinions on if country of origin matters.
I've got one of both kind of battery, comparable life. I've heard a few people complain about the quality control on the square ones, but that seems more than a little finicky to me. A battery is a battery is a battery.
