Typically what does everyone get out of their battery life?

I just got my 8310 (my first BB ever) last week, and I'm totally in love with it. One thing that I noticed, though, was that the battery life seemed to be draining way too fast.

Though, I think I've figured out why. The battery life will drain to 10 percent according to the battery meter. Though now that it has gotten to 10 percent, it's been like that for about 12 hours now and doesn't seem to be going down.

Does anyone have this same issue with their battery meter? And does anyone know if there's a more reliable way to tell how much actual juice is left in it?

Currently I am charging my 8310 every day. I am by no means a heavy user, but my battery drains throughout the day. It goes down to 95% about 20 min after I turn it on. I was so frustrated that I went to an AT&T store and changed my old battery for a new one...hasn't made any difference so far. I guess I'll have to spend another $50 and order one of those Seidio extended battery bricks just to make it through the day. Thanks BB!

Update: Shortly after posting this message, my battery meter dropped to 5 percent.

I too am really frustrated by this. Especially when a friend of mine's BB dropped only to 70 percent after two days of use.

Mine will last me about 2 days before I have to charge it. I have been listening to mp3's on it all mornig and my battery is only down to 80%. I do know that if you are in a weak signal area and your phone has to constantly search for a signal that will drain your battery very quickly. Are there any 3rd party apps. running?

try logging out of jive talk and see how long your battery lasts. I have heard that jive talk can drain a battery fairly quickly.

Most of the day I have somewhere between 3 and 5 bars. I have noticed while at work it is down to 2 at times.

itsnormal that it drops to 5% really quickly. if it keeps going down quickly then theres a problem.

my battery life is about 1 charge gives me about 3 days of use. on the other hand, i dont use it every single miunute of the day, but its stilll impressive to me.

My battery usually is down to 10% after using it all day (12 - 14 hour day). I usually talk about 3500 to 4000 mins. A month, constant BT running, constant wifi on, constant BB messenger, maybe 45 mins - 1 hour of web browsing, maybe 30 e-mails a day, and maybe 10 txt messages a day. Is that good? Seems pretty good to me.

I'm having the same problem regarding the batery life. I was also thinking about a battery replacement. I've had my 8310 for about a week and noticed that the BB battery has to be recharged everyday or early the next morning. If anyone has a solution (buying a new battery does not work for some), let me know. Thanks.

I was told. Don't charge overnight. And only charge when needed for 2 hrs.

I'm not sure what's going on, and I'll probably jinx myself, but I have been on the same charge for almost 2 days now, and it's only down to 65%. I keep thinking it will drop to 15% anytime now. Maybe the meter is broken...who knows...I only hope it continues.

Its a lithium ion battery so charging it over night shouldnt affect it as opposed to a 2 hour charge. Its all the same.
