I am getting my old 8330 curve ready to sell and wiped it with jl_cmder. Now when I go to the apploader and try to install the os, under "application name" it says "The blackberry desktop software does not have blackberry device software for the device that you have connected to the computer"

I've deleted the vendor.vml file and downloaded and installed the OS to the computer. So I'm at a loss.

What OS are you attempting to install?

make sure you uninstall all other OS and reinstall the OS package and run again. You might have downloaded a different OS.make sure its the correct model number.

I don't have any others on here, just that one. its an 8330, not an 8330m. So I think its right.

this is going to sound elementary, but do a battery pull and re-boot your PC. What youre describing has happened to me and this fixed it
