You probably have a memory leak. Have you recently installed any apps since you noticed the low memory?

I would back up all files via DM, make sure ALL media on microSD card. wipe it and reload it, and restore info.

    Are you battery pulling everyday?
Is all the media stored on microSD card?
Do you have more than 3-5 apps?

With the bb turned on, pull the battery out wait for a minute or so and put it back in, considered a "hard reboot". The sequence of key presses - hold down in order: alt-right shift-delete produces a "soft reboot".

You could also have apps unknowingly running in the background if you use the escape key to close them all. Some apps by design run in the background. Browser, Messages, Home, Phone and BBm are always running. Press alt/Menu and check your running apps. Those that can be, should be shut down using the Menu/Close method.

With the device on, remove the battery cover, and then remove the battery. Leave it out for 20 seconds, and then put it back.

You don't have to have apps running to use memory. Apps reside in memory. Check your memory in Options -> Memory. Emails, browser cache, sms and lots of things use memory. There are lots of things you can do to maximize your memory from deleting emails, emptying browser cache, deleting apps you don't use, deleting extra themes, deleting foreign language support, and on and on. IMHO anything above 20 mb at the end of the day is good.

It was that security app that I installed that was eating the memory. I deleted that and two other apps and haven't had any issues with it since. Sometimes it freezes up if I'm using the internet browser but I'm pretty sure that's only because the service provider that I have.
