I am back to home town for a visit and found my mom bought a Curve 8310 for use with her Centennial Wireless account. (GSM) I have been trying to get it set up for her and he e-mail. She uses AOL and I set it up as I was supposed to but it will not RECEIVE the e-mail. It will send the email OUT just fine, but cannot get it to receive.

It is running OS version 4.2.2.181 I don't know much about the Curve as I have a Storm with Verizon. Any quick help would be appreciated as I leave soon. This is something I would not be able to walk thru on the phone... she can barely turn the thing on LOL!!!

Have you logged on to your account on the internet threw Blackberry where you input all your email info and tried looking over the server info inc.?

BlackBerry Internet Service thats the link login into that with the account info u or she created to add the email

OK, I am in.... was accidentally trying the VZW site.... hold on...

on the right of the email address you will see a icon for "Edit" click that then the page loads click Advaced Options then you will see the server

Google says the server should be imap.aol.com

port 587

SSL should be checked

I resent the service books.... I think that did it. Several emails I tried to send earlier came thru... I have tried a few more to see for sure....

if all that is ok delete the account and re add it then resend the service books
