Default Anyone having problems with faceplate/housing?

Ihad my 8310 for two weeks and had to return it because the left rubber side grip was beginning to separate itself from the housing of the phone.ATT replaced the phone and I've had this one for a week and the front faceplate is starting to come loose in the bottom left corner and making a squeaking noise. This is very irritating. I previously had an 8525 and experienced no such problems even after a few drops. I've not mishandled the Curve in any way yet I'm having the same type of problem. I'm afraid I won't be able to get it replaced again. Is anyone else having this problem? I like this phone but the build quality is beginning to become a concern of mine. Thanks.

My curve has been a-ok. How are you carrying it? Are you putting it in pants pocket that might put pressure on it in undesirable ways?

I havent had any problems. It is possible that its simple a bad batch. I've had mine 4 mths now and have yet to have any problems like i had w/ my 8525 (which i got rid of for the curve after 7 mths).

Cool I just started having this problem

the left side of my Curve is comming loose. It makes an annoying click every time I use any of the buttons onthe left side.

I got my Curve about a month after AT & T started selling it. AT & T will not replace it becasue it does not affect the usage of the phone. This is not acceptable to me. One thing about AT & T if you don;t like the answer the first time, you call back and get someone else and you get a different response. Many times I get what I want on the second call, but it has taken up to 5 calls. I will make a second call shortly.

Default AT&T Replaced it ....

DadTo4xys is my husband & today we took it to the regional AT&T service center. All they do there is warranty repairs/exchanges.

The rep there said it was a good thing he brought it in right away because the clicking sound was the housing separating on the side of the phone & dust could get inside & cause problems with the circuits. They replaced it on the spot & we were out the door in 10 minutes.

They told him that the warranty on the replacement phone was the balance of the 1 year warranty on his original phone or 90 days - whichever is greater.

Hope this info helps.

I just got a new one, but the one I had before I had since October and never had any problems with it. I carried it inside the leather pouch in my pant pocket

I got my Curve about a month before my husband got his & mine is perfectly fine. I have not had any issues. My mom also got one & had had no issues.

Like anything, there can be a "bad batch". Just stay on AT&T to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.
