I am on Alltell and I can't get MMS to work. I spent about 8 hours trying to fix it. I always get a red x and a message saying "failed to send" . i heard that if i download BB OS 4.5 for a different carrier from BB's site that it will fix this. Does anyone know what I need? How do I install a different version if I have already installed 4.5.0.177 from Alltel?

You already have 4.5.0.127 from Alltel installed?

    Your MMS should be working.

    Do you have Docs2Go installed?

When I was with Alltel and we first got 4.5.0.89 there was an issue with Docs2Go and the MMS. If you had upgraded to the latest version of Docs2Go then it disabled the ability to send MMS.

I don't know why but it did.

Also try going to Options/Advanced Options/Host Routing Table press menu and select Register Now.

And try sending a picture to yourself.

Yeah, no luck. I reinstalled my OS. I got 4.5.0.77 but it shows up still as 4.5.0.127. No sure why. I heard that if i download the OS from a different vendor that MMS may work. I followed the instructions on this site for downgrading. let me know if you know of anything else that may work. Thanks!

Upgrade to 4.5.0.131. Make sure you uninstall .77 from your PC and install .131.

Use Desktop Manager (DM) v4.6 without Media Manager. Download here...https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...mvR+EjHzgUDg**

Follow the upgrade instructions to a tee and you'll be fine.

I have tried the upgrade. I am now running .131. Still no dice with MMS. Long process...LOL. I don't get it... I resent service books etc. If there is nothing else for me to try i will have to settle to wait until I am back in my home area to try again. Thanks

Did you register in Host Routing Table and do a battery pull?

The pictures that you are trying to send on your media card?

Have you tried to send any videos?

Did you try sending one to yourself?

You're probably going to have to call Alltel CS about it because your MMS should be working.
