I am having some problems intalling 3rd party software to my new Sprint Curve.

I upgraded from an 8830 to the Curve and i was able to get my address book and all that stuff over fine. Now when i am in the Blackberry Device manager and I go to Application Loader and I go to load a 3rd party program it does not work. It sees the .AXL files but when i click on the file to add it says "no additional applications designed for your device were found"

Can anyone help me out? I have downloaded all my 3rd party apps from handango.com

    thanks for the help.

You need to install your handheld Operating System
    on your PC.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I did that and now the Desktop Manager does not recognize the Curve.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks again.

Did you delete that vendor.xml file?

Also try using the connection options,
make sure it is pointing to USB-XXXXXXXX

Yes i deleted the vender file. And it is searching through USB.

Before i downloaded the OS I was able to connect and sync my Curve with the desktop software with no problems.

Could there be a conflict, because I have been using the 8830 and all I did was connect my new Curve and it automaticly detected the Curve and started a sync.

Now it wont recognize it at all after the curve OS was installed on my computer.

    Thanks

Try using add / remove to uninstall both OS's,
then reinstall the one for the device you are
currently using, delete the vendor.xml, open
DM and try it one more time.
