options > advanced options > GPS > press menu and select
Refresh GPS. It is best to do this outdoors with a clear line of
    site to the sky.

GPS itself serves no purpose. You need an application that is using this feature.

Verizon locks there GPS also. All you can do is use a GPS Puck or VZ navigator or Google maps and that only is giving your location off a cell tower so it is not very accurate

Verizon released the os 4.5 a few days ago that was supposed to unlock the GPS to work also with Blackberry Maps. I downloaded v4.5 from US cellular and thus havent installed verizons yet, but I was wondering if ANYBODY else had gotten it to work?? I got an email from verizon (same as many others here) that stated it was going to unlock it for use with blackberry maps, but I have yet to find anybody who has claimed it successfully did this. Anybody gotten theirs to work??

Doesn't seem to work with Blackberry Maps. When I start GPS navigation it says "Searching for satellites". Results are never displayed.

This feature was "supposed" to start with the Storm release, they may not unlock it until then.

I get the same results as cdf3. It sits there just "Searching for satellites" and nothing is ever displayed.

    I hope it's just something I'm missing.
