Does anyone know how to use accents on the curve? not sure if it would different from other blackberries. I click the symbol button and there is only like 7 options and none of them are french accents.
even when putting my phone in french it doesn't show!!

fallenpryde, press and hold the said letter (example E), and while holding the letter down, scroll the 'pearl'...

That was exactly what I was looking for. Up until now, I was relying on the spell-check to add them, but it wouldn't catch most of the accents in French.

I'm able to do this in email, but it doesn't work in SMS. If I hold the letter down and move the trackball, the letter just capitalizes itself.

SMS only uses certain letters to encrypt and send. there is no accents for texting.
