When I went to go install it I got a warning at the top saying "After completing the loading operation, you must activate your device wirelessly to continue to send and recieve messages and use other blackberry services. If you do not want to continue with this loading operation, press cancel."

What does this mean? What is going to change from the way my blackberry usually works?

If you did a backup before the upgrade, you will be fine...

Always send your service books after install is complete, and register the host routing table too.

Mine did all this when I went through and fully completed the setup wizard

That is a normal message. If you are using apploader to upgrade, make sure you hit the Options tab beneath the Data Preservation and Device Backup heading and ensure that the Backup Device Data Automatically During the Installation Process box is checked.

What does registering the host routing table do?

It basically just registers you to your specific provider, so for your case it'll set you up with all the Sprint stuff, etc.
