I was surfing the net and I stumbled on to a site called Newegg(One I visit a lot). I found that the 83xx Desktop Charging Pod is only $7.99 with Free Shipping(4-7 Business days).. Not a bad deal if you ask me... I saw a thread a couple weeks ago that Newegg had these for $8.99 with the free shipping option...Here is a link to the site...

No problem, info is good, everyone has different finds.

I started beating even some of the eBay prices at Amazon. Got a nice 8 gig class 6 SDHC card for under $14 on a special. Got the pod less than $6 on a special. A 2-pack of replacement trackballs for less than $9. All kinds of deals, I use the Amazon app, shop from my Curve.

how does it even charge it?

Your charger plugs into the pod, and your BB has charging contacts on the lower back of it. These allow you to charge without using the Mini-USB port.

Does anyone know if this works with a case on the phone? My seidio case has an opening in the back to expose the battery door button/charging contacts (always wondered what those were lol) but I dont know if the contacts on the pod extend enough to get past the case.

From the reviews I've read you have to take off the case, in order for the cradle to make contact with the rear tabs to charge the phone.
