    A friend of mine got the new Sprint/Nextel Curve (I think 8350i), and I immediately noticed that it has the 4.6 OS on it... My question is, can I not load this onto my 8330? Is that coming soon?

    Gotta do better than that. The phone is a Curve, I'm not sure why I couldn't use the 4.6 OS on mine too.

    hardware isnt the same... each OS is specific to the hardware for which it is compiled.

    So, sorrowfully, no...it wouldnt be a good idea.

    Correct, you cannot load the OS from a different device. OS's are device specific, not carrier...
