My curve still runs the older os4.3 and, despite wanting mms, i have been loathe to upgrade mostly due to fact that my 8330e is incredibly stable... I have never had to reboot or do a battery pull.. its like a rock.
Now my g/f has a newer 8330m with os4.5 (i think the sprint .131) and the signal strength with the units side by side is 6dB better than my 8330e..
6dB is a massive amount and clearly beyond unit/unit calibration differences so i was wondering if anyone is aware that radio performance is improved in these later os's?
Yeah there's also alot of issues with the 8330m's dropping signal when data is engaged and stopped. Sounds like your gf is one of the lucky few that have a stable 8330m
