My boss recently gave me a blackberry 8330 World Edition for him to sell. Its branded by verizon, which I think aren't able to be unlocked. Am I wrong?
Yea 8330 is a curve and is not World Edition. 8830 might be a different story because it is a World Edition and does have a SIM card slot.
Bah sorry! Typo, it is in fact an 8830. And I do see a verizon simcard in it. But I cant pull it out, It seems like its perminant. Is putting a different providers simcard possible?
It could only be unlocked to another CDMA carrier (Sprint) the SIM card slot is for global use, but unlocking it will not open up GSM carriers like Tmo.
Ah yeah I do know that its basically for connecting to networks when out of the states. So theres no possible way someone on AT&T could use this phone?
If you buy a new berry, you could use the blackberry trade up program in my signature. Probably get more money from some goofball though..
Yeah, I just got the bold on Tuesday, so I dont think im buying a new phone for a bit lol. Thanks for the tip tho, Anyone have a current price check on how much this 8830 World Edition is worth used?
