Has anyone had problems since the upgrade with people that are non-verizon customers not being able to view pics that were sent to them? That is the only problem I have found so far. How do I fix this?

I talked to Tech Support again today, they have received many calls about the upgrade, and all they'll say is "We don't know. We haven't released it yet. I can't tell you when it will be released."

As far as no MMS, I didn't think Sprint supported MMS anyway...although I'm not sure why since they have "Picture Mail" on every other phone they sell...
it took me forever this morning to install .77

i was using desktop manager 4.7 which for whatever reason would not let me install .77

so i deleted desktop manager 4.7 and went back to 4.6 and in an instant it allowed me to install 4.5.0.77

so far so good!!!! (keeping fingers crossed) :-)

aabritt I had the same issues with DM 4.7 while trying to downgrade my os from .97 back to .77

... so I just took everything off my computer and reinstalled 4.6 and had no problem getting .77 back.

-with 4.5.0.97 I was having some major battery issues- using all my resources I have to charge my phone mid-day and before bed. I know it's not all in my head because I'm seeing a difference in my battery level and it's much much better

also with .97 I didn't have the speaker phone blast issue until 2 weeks after the use and BAMN it was BACK alone with the battery drainage- so I'm sticking with .77 for a while.

Thumbs down

Went to the 4.5.0.97 got nothing but black & white format so reverted to 4.5.0.89 for the 8130 loaded it up but somehow the 4.7 DM reinstalled 4.5.0.77 back on the phone oh well hopefully the altel 4.5.0.89 will be released on 12/1/08 as stated somewhere on this thread

If I update my curve with telus(I'm in Canada does this matter?) Will the app's and games I already have be deleted? Cause I've bought a few. Also will my gps still work?

Thanks: Clint

I thought that you were supposed to use DM 4.5 to install v4.5? maybe thats why y'all are getting the black and white issue? bc I installed 4.5.0.97 and its been working great for me :-)

Happy Day after thanksgiving to yall!
I was wondering about the version of software I am running on my verizon curve 8330 (4.5.0.77) its been working pretty good since I downloaded it except for that dreaded speakerphone blast you get when you answer the phone. I thought this version was not supposed to have that particular bug? Anyone know if there is a fix for it or am I to just wait this one out untill verizon fixes it? Any info on this is much appreciated. Oh yeah... one more thing, I noticed that I also cant edit postings or put new postings on crackberry since the new update. What gives?!

Default trouble upgrading to OS 4.5

Hey I'm new here and I've thoroughly read the upgrade/downgrade post on here . I currently have a sprint curve 8330 running 4.3 and desktop manager 4.7 . I dl 4.5 build 101 and install the os to my pc then remove the vendor.xml file. I then start up the desktop manager and it says there's no software updates available, that mine's upto date. I then go to the app loader to try and do it manually and it still says nothings available. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Default just took the plunge...

First time I've upgraded my OS so I was stressed. Upgraded to DM 4.7 and OS .77
So far, all is well. Most notable changes are as mentioned in an earlier post, wireless upgrade capability. I was able to easily download AIM which I hadn't been able to do before. And had the option to download docstogo, which I did and that works beautifully to. Also appears to be a browser upgrade. I haven't been able to see the media equalizer that I've seen some talk about...
