So I bought myself the 8330 curve a few days ago. Put my little pearl in a box cos there ain't no way I'm giving her up!

Anyway, Telus rep told me the 8330 doesn't have a SIM. Is this true?

To my knowledge, it is a CDMA device - so no SIM.

I'm not familiar with Telus but from what I see it looks to be a Sprint phone from what I see so I would say it has NO sim. I take it you haven't received it yet right? So doess your Pearl with Telus have a sim? Kinda weird if its the same carrier?

Telus is a CDMA carrier you're not supposed to have a SIM.

My old telus phones had SIM cards, not sure about the newer ones, im on bell now, because its more expensive

From my knowledge the 8330 is a CDMA device as was mentioned above, which would not have a sim unless it was a world edition phone. The only Telus phones that have SIM cards are the Mike line of phones. The PCS Phones from my experience on Telus are still all CDMA (Which adds a layer of security if you ask me, no one can just steal your phone and drop their own sim card in and use it)

CDMA SIM cards and R-UIM Cards are available. More common in GSM devices, or World CDMA/GSM devices..

However the Telus CDMA 8330 Curve has no SIM card, i believe some US CDMA 8330 Curves may have a SIM card though.. I heard maybe sprint, but don't quote me on that..
