Hi
I'm abroad in Thailand (in live in the UK, and use Orange) and attempted to hook up to a wireless network
When the 8320 attempted to log in, it failed because it couldnt get an IP
When I checked the diagnostics, there's nothing in the IP Address field.
Is it an issue with the Blackberry not getting it's own IP or more likely the wireless network?
Has it go anything to do with my GSM network?
Any advice appreciated
cheers

More than likely a wireless issue. The wireless might be set to give out X IP's, and thus all have been assigned already...
Have you tried other wireless connections?

hey man
it appears to be happening in multiple wireless points
I believe the error text that appears after the Bberry tries to connect to the network is "Unable to Obtain valid IP address"
this never happened while in the UK (my home location)
cheers for the help

I agree with Navi, seems to be the wireless network there.
Whats the working IP look like on a pc at the hotel?
Can you manually try that IP on the BB?
