    Hey guys,

I got the 8320 curve from t-mobile and took the time to update the OS to the new 4.5.0.81, and it's been great using the new features, but I tried to use my camera recently, and realized that the flash doesnt work, and during the video recorder the light doesnt work either?? Do yall have any suggestions or anything about this problem, I really hope its not just my phone.

    Thanks for the help

Under the camera options, is the flash turned on?

Try a battery pull.. with the device still on, remove the battery, wait about 30 secs to a min, then reinsert... it will power back up, then try.

Also. The space bar will change the flash "mode"

You can turn it off, on, auto.... etc

You could try updating to 4.5.0.110. I'm running that and I know my flash works. If yours still doesn't work after that update you know its a hardware issue.

I've had issues with the T-Mobile .81 OS. Although it wasn't flash related, it was just slow, and had a bad mem leak.
I've upgraded to the .102, then the .110, and everything has been much better.

Is .81 the official tmobile release for 4.5? If not, I suggest getting the official one.

If you have the official one, I suggest wiping device, reinstalling OS if the same issue persists even though the option for flash is on or automatic I'd call tmobile for a replacement handset!

So is the offical 4.5.0.81 from T-mobile having issues with leaks? I seem to be having this problem which i noticed last week. I am having to do a battery pull everyday and clearing my browers and such just to keep the phone running.. I have only had the phone for about 4 months now so I had no clue if this was normal behavior for the phone.
Another question. Do I have to update to the 4.5.0.102 before I would do 4.5.0.110 os update?

I just did the official upgrade via the tmobile site about 10 days ago. No issues so far...everything works better. I did add a 1gb sd card around the same time.
