    i did what was recommended in this thread

    my phone keeps shutting dow, comes back up with the hourglass, stays on for a bit, then shuts down again. yikes
    im expecting an important call.
    i deleted my emails
    i dont have txt, so thats not it.
    ive cleaned out the cache and cookies.
    as soon as it does the "verifying software" and i see the icons, it reboots, or goes black a second.
    then the hourglass..
    i do have a lot of pics.

    No the sim card allows the phone to talk to the carrier.
    The memory card referred to is the media card that holds pictures, ringtones etc.

    It is a Micro SD card
    Some pictures can be seen here:
    Transcend Flash memory card - 4 GB microSD - 1 x microSDHC

    The micro SD card is on the left and the holder for it is on the right.
    You will be looking for the one on the left but it will be in a silver holder that slides to open. It will be under the battery.

    Leave card out do a battery pull with power on if possible then reinsert the battery. See if phone works without the card.

    yea, it works w/o the mem card fine.
    that mean i have to delete my nude actress collection?

    NO I think you can download those pics via card reader to your pc , reformat card in bb, then reload pics back on card (or music etc.. ) and you should be good to go unless card is bad...
