    I am having an 8320 given to me within the next few days. Been told i will have to wipe stuff off of it like contacts etc.

    What is the easiest way to getting it back to what a new phone would be like so that i can start afresh with it?

    Go to Options, Security Options, click the menu button and choose Wipe Handheld.

    Hopefully the previous owner has removed the device's pin number from their email accounts on the BIS site, or you may have problems setting up your email accounts.
