my dad droppde his BB8310 and now it refuses to start up. If I plug it into any powersource, the red LED flashes up briefly and that's all I get. The screen stays dark. There are *no* 3rd party applications or anything fancy installed, it's just BB OS 4.5 (I think). Is there any way to recover data from the phone memory? The phone is not important, but the phonebook and the saved mails would be great to have...has somebody any ideas how to proceed?

check to see if the connections to the battery are damaged or bent, if so try and bend them back in place
Hey and thanks for the advice, unfortunately this wasn't the problem. In fact, the entire phone is in mint condition - except that it won't start up :/
