I used to have the pearl which had different tones for email and text messages. I now have the curve 8310 can you have different alert tones as well. If so how ? Thanks

Its really easy, all you do is select the profile (medium, loud, normal) and then scroll to the bottom to advanced. From there you would choose one of those profiles, then you can customize each part of the profile. Phone, SMS, email etc.

Its pretty easy...

Curve and Pearl are identical in the profile settings. Just set it up like you had your Pearl.
