Hey all -- Just got my first blackberry, but havin problems with it =(
Today I tried to update to 4.5 OS and I had an error in the middle of it so I decided to do a device whipe -- now I can't seem to get my device to be recognized by my computer through USB. Can anyone give me some ideas as to what I need to do to fix this? I tried reloading drivers and what not already.
I just tried that -- but the problem is my device isn't even being recognized at all by my computer. It's not even connecting/disconnecting, it just doesn't even attempt to connect.

Lol ag how have you been. I'm so ise to being on my PC lol.
Its a time when you plug your phone into the usb cord. Take the battery out before though, for about 5 or so seconds it will show up. Connect to it and your set.
Wait, do you have a 507 error or just a red flashing light?

After resetting my PCseveral times it finally recognized it . Now, I'm back on 4.2.2....Is there a safer more effective alternative to upgrading through the dekstop manager? Can I upgrade to 4.5 directly through the apploader following the steps stated in that "nuked" page?
Oh, and yes I did get a red light, the error went off the screen before I could read what it said....but the screen went black and the red light was stuck on.

Yes you can, but it is essentially the same. Just take your time
whichever method you choose.
