Thanks. I downloaded the 4.5 due to wanting the video camero. Then lost my email and bb browser. Still had media net. Now that the phone is stuck on GSM I cant even get that. Someone said something about .55 or .69 not sure what those are. And if that would help. And where to get them.

That may be the clue we are looking for.

gsm is the fall back, voice and sms service. The fact that it is lower case means there is no data connection.

The first issue is getting EDGE service restored.

Is it possible that you are in an area too remote for EDGE service? What is your signal strength as displayed in Options / Status?

It doesnt say a color. It says signal -80dBm

I was told that when my area went 3g that a lot of people had the bb do this same thing. And when all my problems started it was when they were messing with the towers preparing to do the switch nothing to do with the upgrade. Some of the people with this same issues as mine didnt do the upgrade. I may just have to ask my boss for another bb or switch to something else.

-80dBm is a couple bars, that is not the problem.

I suspect you are right, you have a gsm connection, but they are not delivering EDGE at the moment.

Have you called your carriers customer service? The more complaints they get, the more pressure there is to get it resolved.

I'd definitely make sure you don't have a beta/other provider's OS on there before I started returning the phone anywhere.

Manager fixed it by readding my blackberry features to my line. The only thing now is that Media net will not open and when I try to send pics or videos I get a red X. I have all my emails back to. Any advice.

I also have a customer who has a 8310 that has the letters H T on the screen. Anyone know what that means.
