So I've ordered a pretty purple housing from BeckyMae and I was wondering if anyone has any tips for changing the housing? I know I need some kind of special screwdriver and I've watched several "taking apart" videos...so a few specific questions:

1) do I need to remove the side rails to put the font housing back on or can they just semi hang off?

and is there any specifically tricky part?

Thanks- I was just wondering about the faceplates though. I don't want to take the whole thing apart.

I dont take the rails off i just snap it back in

Be careful with the rails! They have fairly fragile tabs that hold the rails tight to the body of the BB.
The rails have to be pulled away to access the faceplate clips, just take your time and make sure you have good lighting!
You don't have to remove them - you can just leave them hanging.
