Hello all, new user to Crackberry.com here. I just installed DM 4.7 on my Vista run PC (so terrible) and everytime I connect my 8310 thru USB, the sync goes for like 10 seconds and then DM shuts down with Vista saying they will attempt to find a solution (as if!).

Any advice out there for a struggling BBerry user.

Use DM 4.5 or 4.6 without media manager, those are the ones you want. I use 4.6, DM 4.7 has it's fair share of issues still...

...so would I just do a simple uninstall of 4.7 and install 4.5 or 4.6?

Yes just uninstall from the control panel. I use 4.6 with no issues.

Im using 4.6 with vista and have had no problems at all.

I have used 4.7 with Vista on my laptop, but went back to 4.6 to match my PC. I use my XP PC for all upgrades and other BB work, and stuck with 4.6, because of upgrade problems with 4.7.

I have had issues w/ DM 4.7 and Vista 64 bit home SP1. I can't update my BB at all. I am on 4.5OS and when I try to run the update for the latest version I get a note about a fatal error and the download isn't done.

I'm going to switch back to 4.6 DM and see if that helps.

I have DM 4.7 on Vista and it runs just fine.
