With 4.3, if any button would be pressed when in standby mode, the screen would not light up. But I noticed with 4.5 if you press a button when standby mode it now lights up. Is there a way to turn this off? I don't want it to be doing this when in my pocket.

It only turns on when you hit the send or end button not just any button. I got 4.5 too but maybe yours is different from mine. But yeah I totally am with you I mean the whole point of Standby Mode is to save battery IMO and if the screen is coming it's not doing a good job of it lol even though it is only for like a second or 2

only the end button will stir 4.5 from standby, but it's good because you can actually know that you are in standby, you won't think that your phone is dead lol
Your right. I just tried other buttons and it didn't turn on. So I guess that's okay. I'd still rather nothing happen if I pressed the send/end buttons
