Since I can post link to URLs, here is the full path.

    https: //www blackberry com/Downloads/entry.do?code=5807A685D1A9AB3B599035BC566CE2B9

Delete the spaces or add a period "." to them.

I entered the link, eliminating spaces and adding ".", firefox crashes everytime. Tried going to blackberry.com and firefox crashes. Only happens when I go to blackberry.com, any ideas.

I don't believe that the 8800 OS will work with the 8300. Am I wrong?

JD914, I know but I didn't have enough posts (10) to put the "actual" link. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even quote your post since there is a link.

Ok. Dumb question. Is this a beta or an official release?

In any event, I'm still too scared to install regardless. I'm with AT&T and I think I'll still wait for their "stable" version. (Hope that it is!)

Umm thanks - i note however that this is (EastAsia) - and not Europe - I keep thinking that I will try an upgrade ne of these days - I would like to be able to see web pages as they are meant to be instead of all over the shop - seems my default browser on BB can only handle WAP stuff - pitty - but I guess that there will be a browser capable of displaying real web stuff on BB soon.

Im a little scared of installin OS upgrades - Im with Vodafone(UK) and they dont have anything at all OS wise - even the guys in there tech department have an older version than the OS shipped now - I have the 4.2.x.x version and everything works fine at the moment - have not found a theme to my liking yet although "today" themes come close.

If anyone knows of an official 4.5 release for UK market - i would be grateful for any links - I may just then back up and risk it ....

Till then all of these links with Official EastAasian, German, French, Japanese etc etc worry me a little.

Thanks for the posts thought - and a great site by the way ...

This OS is for the 8300. If you want a 8320 OS, see this thread...http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/new...anguage-47215/

FYI - there has been many that said UMA will not work with this OS. It is not a T-Mob release.
