You may already know this, but you also need to download and install the 4.5 version Desktop Manager software before trying to install the 4.5 operating system. You can get that here.

Also, if your curve wont respond or turn on ( completely black ) after this do not be alarmed.. it's very simple ( a min or two ) to get back on track to finishing the install. Just did it tonight, a wonderful decision.. if only i backed up my apps. :[

I'd reccomend that you get CrackMem too. It will help a lot with the installation if you are downloading an OS that is not from your carrier.
