So, days after days we are very close to the final 4.5 OS for our Blackberries

Here is a test of the latest available OS Version 4.5.0.37.
Beginning with some screeshots :
After booting it, the memory available on my not wiped blackberry is around 22 Mb a little more than the 4.5.0.28.
The network cuts are always here but less frequently.
BBMaps seems to still not working, we have to continue using the BBMaps trick by downloading BBMaps 1.2 on the at&t blackberry site and installing it over BBMaps 4.5.
Blackberry Browser is much faster, and the browsing of heavy sites is improved (like youtube).
Navigation through the interface remain the same (no speed gain or else)
Memory leaks seems to have disappeared.
BBMessenger is more stable than that we known on 4.5.0.10-18.
Media Player is more stable too, playing video for a while and no reboot anymore in the middle of a high bitrate video.Last edited by TheJam; 05-21-2008 at 11:28 AM.

So far, so good. I've already dropped Opera Mini 4.1. BB Browser connects quicker.
Don't ask.

After a full wipe and optimization, I've got 33 MB memory free, without FR language and VAD I think it can reache 35 - 36 MB Free

Any issues with dropped signals and going from EDGE to edge and gprs?

hEY ALL, JUST UPGRADED MY 8310 TO THE 4.5.0.37 AND HERE IS MY $0.02 ON THE FIXES.
First, the browser.... noticeably faster than before and the streaming of the videos from youtube increased dramatically.
SEcondly, those little red exclamation points in the text messages everyone was worried about, yea, well, there gone!
Third, the sound. After this first update I noticed that the sound level dropped in the media player. Well it seems to be fixed. I cant remember if its louder than the 4.3 but it is for sure louder than the original 4.5 beta.
I also did notice a little bit of an increase in speed in the overall phone but that is my opinion. I love this OS and I cannot wait till the official is released and completed. Mind you this is a quick write up, I need to go play with this thing now......my blackberry silly! -

Would be nice to get some CDMA love. Maybe it's just harder to leak that version.

Ok I upgraded to .37 today and I do notice the faster browser speed, more space, and I cant really tell with volume because I never paid attention to it with earlier releases.

Loaded it today as well and all seems better than .18 that I had before. I actually went back to 4.2 after playing with .18 for a bit.
This one seems better. The signal doesn't seem to be dropping in and out anymore. Gmail isn't working but that could just be something on my end. Also, might just be me but there could still be a memory leak. I'll have to reboot and see how it goes from there. - 05-21-2008, 07:27 PM #24
How about using Bluetooth with UMA? Have any of these later betas fixed that issue?

.37 seems the same as .28 to me.
