I have a BB 8330 and have Pocket Informant installed as my calendar, address book, tasks, etc. Can I delete the address book, calendar and tasks that originally came on the BB without messing up my device?

No on the address book, yes on the Tasks, as it is an App, and no to the calendar. The calendar and address books are integral to the OS, and are required for other functions of the device.

TY BergerKing. I've deleted the Tasks but kept the address book and calendar. I'm glad I asked because I almost deleted them.
