    Is there any way, or any theme you can download for a CDMA 8330 that would change the network icon from 1XEV to 3G?

    Yes, there is themes that can do it. I don't know which one for sure though. Just look through the CrackBerry themes forum.

    Doesn't loading a hybrid OS add the 3G icon? I know there used to be a patch offered by driphter that would place the 3G icon over the default OS 5 but I think it was only for Verizon phones.

    Chaser, you ought to ask Nik about it. I have Verizon and it was fixed for me. Maybe it is carrier specific? idk.
