So my curve from att has a 3g card, but att says it will never be 3g? Why!?

Sorry to say but you've been misinformed about your Curve. The only 3G Curves out there are the 8330s from Sprint and Verizon.

My sim is 3g capable.. Say I were to take it out of my phone and use it in my bf's his phone works on 3g? I haven't been misinformed, talkd to att this morning... ?

Yes, you have been misinformed. Your Curve is NOT 3G capable and never will be. And if your boyfriend has a CDMA Curve from Verizon or Sprint, you cannot use your SIM card in it, as only GSM devices use SIM cards.

its because they put that design on doesn't change a thing
if your bf phone is 3g he will be getting 3g no matter what unless the area only provides edge

as jenaywins correctly said it just can't although I do wish it could cook breakfast

the gsm curve models do not have a 3g antenna inside of them and because of that will not be able to get 3g speeds
