my dad just got the curve for verizon. on the back bottom it says "qualcomm 3G CDMA" does that mean its a 3G phone? beacause my sisters LG EnV 2 says it also. i didnt think these were 3G phones. im on Tmobile so i really dont know

the verizon curve may use the EV-DO network, im not very sure.
in verizon, EV-DO is 3G. in GSM, UMTS/HSPA is 3G.

Another victim of AT&T's marketing team! 3G is the third generation of high speed wireless data. GSM' 3G is hsdpa and CDMA is EVDO. Also EVDO Rev-A is more like 3.5G
