Hi, I was just curious as to how the memory card works. I mentioned to my mother that I needed one and she surprised me with one. It is a "PNY 2GB micro SD card" I just wanted to make sure that it is compatible with my 8320 curve before i rip the package open and realize its useless. Also, is there any formatting needed once the memory card is in?

Yep it will work just fine. The device will do everything for you. You don't need to format it. Make sure you set your picture/video storage location to media card. To do this go to your camera app > menu > options > storage location. Same thing for the video app

I hope it is a microSD card, as the mini SD will not work

But the PNY 2Gb microSD your Mom picked up will work just fine!

Thank you for this information. I'm a new user (Curve on VZW).

I have a 2GB card in my Curve. Although I was able to change the default storage for the camera, I could access the Video Camera at all. I keep getting the "to record a video, insert a formatted Media Card".

    Any ideas?

You can format the card right on your berry. If this does not work, try formatting through your PC with the SD adapter.
