What OS are you running? If your running 5.0.0.807, when you hit reply you will see a subject line at the top, then 2 more lines. You have to type the message between the 2 lines under subject, if you type below those 2 then you will send a blank message.

I know thread is a few months old, but my reply to text messages shows up just as you describe. If I type everything in the subject line, as you suggest, some phones can read it, but not others. The strange thing is that if I just compose new MMS then everything works fine. BTW, I am running 5.0.0.1051. I would appreciate any suggestions as it is quite annoying to constantly have to compose new MMS.

From what I understand your typing your reply in the subject line? If so, some phones won't receive your message like you said. You need to type in between the two lines right Below the subject line.

So I have been testing with a few different phones and they all seem to get the messages if it is typed in between the two lines. One strange thing that I forgot to mention.....When I reply to a text, the smiley face icon that I have set up for BB IM shows up on the recipients phone. This seems to me that it is automatically replying as a BB IM. Is there a setting somewhere for me to turn this off. If this is the way it is meant to operate, why does it even let you type in what looks like the body area of the message?
Thanks for your help Crump and anyone else who can offer some insight.
