Weird number when I receive text

Sometimes instead of receiving a text and it saying the contact's name or number it will have a number like this 6005000012 and I cant tell who it is. How do I change this? I have the Blackberry Curve 8350i Sprint/Nextel

I've never had that experience either one on mine, and I've had the Boostberry setup for a couple years now.

Does it happen with certain senders? Maybe it's something on the OTHER end, with their network trying to communicate with Sprint/Nextel.

To figure out if it's a phone problem or a service problem, try finding someone with the same phone (if you have a friend or something) and swap in your SIM card. Make some calls/texts and see what happens. Your contacts won't switch over because they are saved on the phone memory (and not the SIM card memory), but at least it will rule the SIM card in or out.

Never hurts to wipe the phone and reinstall the operating system through BB Desktop software. That can fix some weird issues sometimes.
