I had the same problem. Called tech support. They had me hold the alt key down and then press LGLG, then when list shows up, click menu and clear log, then pull battery. This worked for about a day or so and then it came back. They said that I needed to reload the software.

Try doing a full backup, then wipe the bb.
Once it powers back up, restore the back up file.

Did that twice with mine. Nothing worked. Got a new BB from RIM and I couldn't get on the internet. Kept giving me an error. They had me do just about everything but get naked and do thr Macarena around it before I finally demanded another new phone. RIM's 3rd phone I got is working great.

If I have problems with this phone, that's the last step before I can drive to Kentucky where their BB reps are and throw it back at them. I'll take pics for everyone.

So still no real option other then wiping and reloading right? This just started up on my phone today and it's driving me nuts. Tried reloading the deleted lang packs, restored the theme and even tried a 3 week back up for ****s and giggles.

I wiped and reloaded. No luck. RIM just sent me a refurb phone.

I will see what I can do about the pics.

I ended up going down to the local repair center and they did some kind of on handset full reset, working fine now. They did tell me not to use my back up from this afternoon because it could restore the bad file.

I receive a similar error when using YahooIM, then it crashes. I'll try changing to an OEM theme and see if that helps.
