Where do I go to change the "Sent from my" signature at the bottom of the email. I think I'm in the right section of the Chinese webpage, but I'm not sure
(see pic)

Go to Shangmail Settings/ Configuration and change the "Signature" in there, but lately they added another signature from their website that seems it cannot be changed.
On my signature I wrote:
"E-mail sent from Blackberry 8350i.

and I pressed ENTER between the two rows so it makes the website's signature less visible. Try it...

When i try to bind account i get account error. Below are the settings, which I had on the previous version w/o problems, before I kept getting the "Check network signal" error Week of Dec. 12th. So I switched versions and it hasnt been able to bind. any ideas??
pop3
Incoming Server:mail.nwinfo.net
port #:110
no SSL
Outgoing Server:smtp.mail.nwinfo.net
Port #:25
no SSL - 12-29-2009, 06:31 AM #32
Use a g-mail address to bind then put these POP3 servers in the G-MAIL Settings to retrieve e-mail. Read my previous post.
I believe you were using the English version of Shangmail and that's why it used to work for you. But in the same time, the English version was giving you all the errors. The Chinese version works only with "standard" e-mails, so choose your poison...

Ok. For the last few months I have been using Gmail app for my email and have been wary of the Shangmail option due to the problems and unreliability everyone has been having. But today I decided to give it a try. I have successfully downloaded and installed the english version of Shangmail Pro on my phone. My gmail account is successfully bound to it. I have sent myself a few test emails from various accounts and each time I am receiving them in the gmail app before I receive them using Shangmail. In fact Shangmail is not really even pushing them to my phone, I am having to retieve them manually by going into Shangmail and clicking on the Retrieve Mail tab after hitting the menu button. Sending emails with no problems. My Shangmail settings are set as follows:
Check Type: Direct Push
Download: Body
Valid Time: Any Time
Working Type : All Day
Any ideas?

I have a storm 9530 and have successfully installed shangmail, but have failed to bind my gmail account. When I reach the part of bind account and select common. It starts processing and then displays message Network error! Please check network settings and signal strength. I never reach the part of adding or selecting an account to bind. What could be the problem. I have the gmail application installed and that is how I have been accessing my mail on the Storm.

If you're interested: We are now able to receive full HTML emails through Shangmail!
I have put all the information together in a new thread, please have a look here:

Guys, try version 4.9.0, it's new and working quite well so far. Download it directly from your device browser on wap.shangmail.com.
If your device is not listed, download the one for the 9700, that works on a number of different devices from experience.
If you need more info, visit my thread http://forums.crackberry.com/f137/se...ngmail-399791/, there is plenty of information and instructions for version 4.9.0.
Be aware that the thread starts with info for version 4.8.1, just ignore that and read on until you get to the info for 4.9.0.
Before you download 4.9.0, make sure that you manually delete all "bind" email accounts from your current installed version, otherwise you won't be able to use them again. Once you have done that, delete your current version, then download the new one and do a battery pull once downloaded.
Ask me if you need any more help, but make sure that you read the thread first to check if your question has already been answered before.
Good luck,
