Default Replace broken 83501

My company is sending me a new 8350i because the keypad and rollerball isn't responsive. My current blackberry is synced with my company email and calendar, can I just swap out the sim card or does it have to be programmed all over.

If you are on a BES, you will need to have your Administrator give you a new activation for the new device.

What is a BES? I am not an IT guy and I am trying to avoid dealing with him because he will take three weeks to respond to any request I have.

BES = BlackBerry Enterprise Service

Is your device connected to your employer's server?

If you are on a BES, you cannot activate the device without your administrator.

Backup the new phone 1st. Then backup your phone with desktop manager. swap sim cards. restore the old phone's backup to the new phone.

Yea you need desktop manager or bbsak. Desktop manger cane be downloaded from bb.com and is a more user friendly. It pretty much walks you though the whole backup restore process
