PTT button stuck. help

OK, I don't know how many people are still coming to this 8350i forum, but I need help.

My 8350i's PTT button (one on the side with yellow ring around it) is stuck, and no longer feels like I'm pushing it or not.
Everytime I use PTT, i have to press it harder to make sure the chirp sound goes.

Last time when my trackball got stuck, a simple cleaning as advised in this forum worked like a charm.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar condition and how it can be resolved.

I'm a bit afraid of taking this phone to a service center, because they would simply order a new phone, and by reactivating it, I would have to pay $10 extra just because it's a smartphone (that can't use 3G).

This is the first I've heard of the ptt button getting stuck. I would talk to Sprint's service center.. if your already locked into a contract, would they tack on an extra $10 just because you had your phone serviced? I would call Sprint first, their customer service is great and you always have no in your pocket.

To update:
that ptt button drove me crazy, so I took to the service center to fix it.
Paid $35, but I replaced keyboard, track ball, and everything (to make money's worth). I think this will last until new 3G PTT phone comes out. I sure hope BB releases new PTT phone with 3G.
