Old 64K SIM into 8350?

Hey all-
My buddy has a 64K SIM he's been using in some eons-old nextel flip phone.
He'd like to get a used 8350 and swap in his SIM.

Will this work?

Also, I assume he'll have no internet/email over cellular data, but how much can he expect to use over wifi?

He can use the SIM on the 8350i, get internet and use the native browser with cellular data. All he needs is the combined3 service books installed on the phone. Of course, WIFI will be faster than IDEN data. Here is the thread for converting the 8350i to use on Boost Mobile http://forums.crackberry.com/f137/bo...tively-241170/. It may be of some help.

His SIM is from an ancient Nextel reseller plan, not Boost. Does the Boost info still apply?

What the combined3 service book does is allow the native browser to work over regular data.
