You are running bbm 5.0? Lose it and try again.

No I would just uninstall it or atleast rollback to the "approved" version. It looks like there is a conflict between BBM 5.0 and something else in the new OS. BBM 5.0 is leaked and NOT official.

I'm reading into that right now. To do that I need to remove DM from my computer and reinstall it. I'm too tired to do that right now, perhaps tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it is not the issue. I just installed all the language packs and it still does not work. Even after a battery pull just to make sure, still no go.

ok.
- I installed the .294 update,
- removed bbm5.0,
- installed bbm4.7 (or 4.6 not sure)
- reinstalled bbm5.0
- installed all the language packs

In that order. Between each step, I checked to see if I could send sms and I still get the same error.

Sounds like you need to wipe your phone and start over with a fresh install of 4.6.1.194 ... do not install BBM 5.0 and then install 4.6.1.294 ... I would not reinstall BBM 5.0 until it becomes official which seems like it may be in just a few weeks.
