Default keep losing browser and MMS

Hi. I just got the blackberry 8350i and I did put in the Combined 3 so the browser and texting would work. Problem is, it works for awhile, then somehow I keep losing the browser and texting capabilities. I have to go once a day and reinstall the service books to make them work again. Anyone have any clue why this is happening or what i might be doing that's causing this? Thanks!!!!

Did you but it NIB? Or is it used? If it's used, may not have a clean ESN.

That will have no effect on the phone, the 8350i has an IMEI and not an ESN. Check to see if your phone has an IT policy. From your device, go to Options>> Security Options>> General Settings. Once in there, look near the bottom, on that screen, above 'services'. If it does, it will have to be removed. If there is nothing there, then your best bet would be to wipe the OS and reinstall, then reinstall your service books.

Thanks. I will try that!! One thing I did just notice is that my phone did some kind of security update really quick. Went so fast I couldn't read exactly what it said. But right after that, the MMS and browser were gone again! Seems like whatever update this is doing on its own, its wiping out most of the service books. I am not sure how to find this auto update and shut it off!!! ??? Anyone have a clue?

If I do need to wipe the OS and reinstall, how do I do that? I go this phone used, and have no guides or software with it.

BB's always go through a security check on start up so that is nothing unusual. All of the OS software you need is available on this forum, or through Blackberry. There is a tutorial on how to wipe and reinstall the OS, and the programs you will need to do it. Search the forum for it.
