Well you have a couple of options. Read this forum on converting Sprint CDMA phones to Boost Mobile. Sprint Blackberry on Boost Mobile Support Thread There are people who have converted both the 9630 and 8330 to work on Boost Mobile CDMA network but like the 8350i you will not have access to BIS, so no BBM or Push BlackBerry email. Boost Mobile does now offer the BlackBerry Curve 8530 for $250 http://www.boostmobilestore.com/bpdi...o?action=view# With this you will have access to BIS... You have several options, I think it's just more of a personal preference.

Hey crump I have been thinking about the new Curve 8530 but the only thing holding me back is no mp3 player I just started using it in my 8350i and now just don't think I can do without...LOL Ive been leaning toward the 9630 do you know of any cons about it on Boost?

The 8330 and 9630 work fine on Boost Mobile CDMA. As crump84 said, you will not be able to use any app that needs BIS. One other thing in regards to the 9630, on OS 5 the service books will have to be reloaded anytime the phone has to be rebooted.

I'm not real familiar with the 9630 since I have never actually used one that is flashed to boost. I don't know how stable this would be, although others swear it works great. From what I have read, apparently any time you do a battery pull all the service books have to be re loaded. That's a major con IMO. I would just do some searches through different forums and see what you can find.

Wow that really blows reloading servicebooks. Is that only with OS 5??? Looks like I'll be buying some Sprint phones from ebay and what ever one I don't like I will be selling it on ebay. I did try the i1 out lasted all about a week hated....

Yeah, that is with OS 5 on the 9630. You can downgrade the OS and then the service books sticks. There is an IT Policy that makes them stick on OS 5, but it also prevents adding any apps to the phone.
