You should be able to switch between the Hotspot (wifi) and the mobile browser.

You need a program like Winrar, or 7-zip to open the file.

Drag the file to the Winrar icon, or open Winrar and go to where file is located and click on it to unzip.

i've been using the blackberry 7520 from nextel on boost for the past two or three months using all the same stuff, including the service books, but one of them didnt install right. i dont care because all the features that i wanted worked great. i just bought the blackberry 8350i and will be receiving it anyday soon. the shangmail didnt work because it didnt install right. and the web i used opera mini for just surfing, and when i wanted to download something, i switched to the native browser. the bummer part of the native browser on the 7520 is that for some reason it didnt want to work unless i made it think that it logged in to the wifi settings or whatever. which is funny because the 7520 doesnt have wifi. but it would log in just fine and i would be able to download apps and pics and midi ringtones. i would never try to download a video because we all know the 7520 prolly wouldnt be able to handle any vid client period. unless someone found something. just putting that out there for those of you who want a backup phone but still want all the neat blackberry features. i cant wait to get my 8350i

Default Boost Mobile is now carrying Blackberry's (Curve 8330)

Hey guys, did you know that Boost Mobile is now launching the Blackberry 8330 as CDMA. So hopefully some smart tech wizz will be able to take the service books off that phone and upload them here for us to use. Since Boost Mobile is now carrying blackberrys(its the end of the world) then they should also have a dedicated RIM server for blackberry messenger, etc....And the best part about all this is that us 8350i users can use the service for 50$ a month or pay as you go, but the 8330 users have to use the service for 60$ a month etc. Well I give it a couple of months before we can have everything working on our 8350i's

The service books from the Boostmobile Blackberry will not get you BBM. There is no way to do it because it is controlled by PIN. Secondly, people are already using Sprint 8330's on the $50.00 CDMA unlimited, and PAYGO Boost Mobile Plans.

I'm doing it correctly browser's working but for some reason the "send mms" option is missing. I was able to do it on older version. I've only had trouble with the new version. Already tried wiping it and have done the steps multiple times.

What do you mean by "old version" and "new version"? Is that for the phone or the service books?

I can tell you from my experience in doing several 8350i's, you may be missing a step in installing the service books if you do not get MMS. Usually people forget to enter Legacy Restore Mode, delete the service book entry in DM and to delete all of the service books on the phone, before adding the new service books.

22 is OK. The book you are missing won't affect the operation of the phone.

I know I may sound dumb when saying this but I want to be 100% sure I'm doing the right thing. I don't have a BB YET because of conflicting information from other forums. Can I purchase a new BB 8350i straight from nextel and all this information you provided still work. Or would I have to buy a used unlocked BB? Thnks in advance.

Exclamation I have a problem making calls from my Contacts Phone Book . Please Help !!!!

    Hello,

I did everything on your post to get my 8350 to work on boost. it worked great !!! I love it!!!, but after the change somehow when I make a call from my contacts list it adds a + in front of the number(+210-342-1111) therefore I can't get thro, I tried calling my other cell phone and I got nothing. I did hear the ringing on my 8350, I waited for a long time to see if my other phone would ring. It never did! Now when I type the number in manually it goes through with no problem. I tried over and over again to other numbers in my contacts it does the samething. Have you ever seen this happen before? Is there something that I can do to fix this.
    Any suggestion? PLEASE!!! HELP!!
