Cool Help For a Newbie Blackberry User

OK, for all you crackberry addicts (and you know who you are), I need guidance. I just got my new 8350i, and I have to say the documentation that came with it was sparse at best. I have a conundrum.

I have never had a smartphone before this. I've run on old Motorola 580i for years, and lived with the very limited contact list. When I moved my SIM to the BB, most of my data was truncated, which is fine, as at least the phone numbers were there.

The long way around to my question---I want to be able to edit all the fields that the BB includes (addresses, emails, etc, etc) from my computer. But I don't want to lose any of my phone numbers on my BB, nor do I want to lose any data on my computer (I use Address Book).

What is the best way to get the data off the blackberry, import it to Address Book without losing any contacts on either, and then be able to sync them every time I plug the BB to the iMac??

Thanks gang!

Hi Casper. Thanks for the quick reply. I have BB DM for Mac. My concern is losing any data. My Address Book has emails and addresses and such, while my BB has only phone numbers, etc. Will I end up with multiple contacts of the same person? I don't want to lose any of the data of either Mac or BB. Eventually I hope to merge the data together and then be able to sync without worry. Thanks.

i dont know about macs, but if i remember... if they are named the same, it should, SHOULD, merge them. if they are named different, you may end up with dups... like john vs. john a, both being the same person.
