Default Getting rid of the 8350i going to bold 9650

After 2 days of no texts, 25 battery pulls no phone calls in or out sprint has finally decided to send me a new phone and it is not another 8350i. After 3 hours on the phone with them today and a few wipes and reloads of the OS and the service books sprint told me they would send me a 9650 for the difference in the retail price. That is a new phone for 50 bucks, I think that I could have got it for nothing but I just want a phone that works now. So it is goodbye to the 8350i and nextel it has been a good 10 years but I have to have a phone. The first rep that i spoke with wanted to send me another 8350 but then they looked further down and saw that this would have been the 8th on that i have had replaced with the same issues so they want to switch me to the Sprint side and not have to pay for the phone. I know that some people are going to say that there were other comparable phones on the sprint network but I am a government contractor with a lot of work on bases and shipyard around the country and i am not able to have a camera on my phone so the only option for the sprint network is the 9650 . So i think that sprint does have ok customer service but not all that great. They were a little helpful on the phone but not all that great they kept trying to keep me on the 8350 after all the battery pulls and reloads of the OS but they finally said that there was nothing else that they could do but give me a phone on the sprint side and that they would discount it to the difference of the price of the two phones retail prices, so I thought that this was as good of a deal that I was going to get and after 3 hours on the phone with them i just did not want to go around and around with them anymore so I took what they were offering and we will see how the bold does in a couple of days when it ships here.

I did this about a month ago too. Unfortunately I could not get any cell reception with the Bold devices I was shipped. Even got a second one to make sure and again no signal. As I understand, it may be an OS issue that is not common. Oh Well..had to go back to this POS until I figure out what I wanna do. Very confused. Was hoping the bold would fix my phone issues.......

well i have to say that I have had the bold for about two weeks now and I don't think that i will ever go back to IDEN. Having a real blackberry is a complete new change to me and I love it. In the beginning I thought that I would have a problem with the keyboard on the bold, after having two curves but I did not have any problem with it and i love the Bold. I would have to advise anybody that if they can switch they really need to.
